The Total and Complete Mobility line (TCM) which was presented for the first time at the (EASD) in Lisbon, Portugal in September will be the focus of ForaCare’s exhibition experience at Medica in Germany in November.
The line is a solution that is now available to diabetic patients to help bridge the gap between physician’s care and diabetes self management, and to allow individual patients to have full control of diabetes management simply and easily using the most convenient method for them, personalizing self-monitoring more than ever before.
The iDiamond is the most elegant yet sophisticated glucose monitoring device offered and it requires an Apple © iPhone or iPad device. The iDiamond allows patients to monitor their health while not sacrificing access to their high technology platforms and tools. The monitor sends data automatically to health care providers at the touch of a button for remote patient monitoring by medical professionals.
The Mini Diamond provides a choice for consumers who like incorporating their glucose readings into their high tech iPhone or iPad, or any other smart phone device but want the flexibility of using the glucose monitor on its own, as well. Users can choose how and when to upload their glucose data to their health care provider.
"The Total and Complete Mobility Line raises the bar of consumer friendly devices by offering elegance, sophistication and ease-of-use all in one device. The iDiamond and the Mini Diamond don’t require patients to choose between a device that works well and one that has an attractive aesthetic appearance. Many patients carry their devices wherever they go and having one that is attractive, functional and highly accurate gives the discerning consumer the best of all worlds for diabetes self monitoring," said Ty-Minh Tan, CEO of Fora Care Suisse AG.
Both new devices make it possible for patients to self-monitor as well as track their conditions to better control them. There is significant evidence that patients who monitor their chronic conditions have better glycemic control, leading to improved therapy outcomes and lower risk of long-term complications.
Fora Care provides flexible solutions to bridge gaps among medical devices including glucose meters, blood pressure monitors, and thermometers to transmission gateways and the Internet-based backend system. FORA technology has embedded wired or wireless modules (including ZigBee and Bluetooth) and provides corresponding home gateways to overcome transmission barriers that patients face with other telehealth technologies.
FORA Blood Glucose Monitors are validated according to ISO 15197 requirements at an internationally renowned diabetes institute in Ulm, Germany.
